On its release in 1976, John Carpenter's bleak siege movie Assault On Precinct 13 became a cult classic. But it's Carpenter's minimalist synthesizer score that creates much of the film's tense and menacing atmosphere, and is recognized as a touchstone in electronic music. This 25-minute score has never been available on CD, until now.
