Singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Christopher Mad'dene is French, of Irish origin, and he had the advantage of growing up and being educated in a multi-ethnic context. Passionately fond of traditional music, he composes and plays pieces from the five continents, drawing his inspiration from humanity's deepest roots. The ancient didgeridoo is the traditional wind instrument of the Australian Aborigines, and plays a vital role in accompanying all the important events in the lives of the Aboriginal people and in the transmission of their oral culture. Mystery of the Didgeridoo presents music that has existed since man has been on this earth. Bringing together voice, percussion instruments, and didgeridoo, this recording takes us on a musical and spiritual journey through the African continent.
