The success of the first album of the series prompted a set of similar sounds with new, innovative jazz funk artists. The Fire House 5 developed their funky, smooth jazz sound while studing music at college. They had been studying legendary jazz artists like Coltrane, Miles Davis and Charlie Parker but wanted to put a new spin on these vintage classics. Jammin' is The Fire House Five' s debut recording displaying their innovative flavor. It was recorded in the winter of 2007 and offers an eclectic, colorful take on the traditional jazz sound.
