'First Snow' is the first album from Danielson, Kokborg and Nodler, who have developed a sound hinting of Appalachian mountain music blended with rich classical harmonies. The mainly instrumental works on the album range from the the sparse "Liza, Leavin' This Day" to the harmonically fuller "Randy's Romp." The one piece with lyrics, "Keepers of the Forest" is a new rendition of a traditional Scandinavian folk tale.
