In 1986, NBC used the song in an episode of the hit TV show "Family Ties" and received tremendous response from viewers. A #1 pop hit (it also made the R&B and country charts) and it was a song that helped define the decade. The original hit version of "At This Moment" has been unavailable for over five years. Hopeless Romantic: The Best of Billy Vera & The Beaters makes the original version of "At This Moment" and other key Billy Vera tracks available once again. This is the only CD to feature to the original hit version of "At This Moment," and other beloved tracks, including "Hopeless Romantic" and "I Can Take Care of Myself." Also contains three tracks from a previously unreleased early '80s album produced by group member Jeff "Skunk" Baxter (previously of Steely Dan and The Doobie Brothers). Contains essays by Billy Vera, Richard Foos, and noted music writer Todd Everett.
