Navel don't really seem to care too much about big words and the glittery glamour stuff. Advertisement, label talk, slogans, big names, big lights ?forget it. Eve (b/v), Jari (g/v) and Steve (d) only reference of matter is what you do to your instrument on the stage youre standing on and the effect this has on the people in front of you. The people in front of you will tell you what you are. Either you are a band that rocks or you are a band that doesn't rock too much. If you rock, people will dance, tell more people and next time you will have to book a bigger club. Leave the slogans and the promo gibberish to those who live in constant fear of the next Hives, Muse, Bloc Party, Foo Fighters or Metallica album and who measure their achievements in MySpace clicks. What you want to strive for as a band on your way to sweet independence is the Slayer Appeal. Lose the similes: SLAYER! NEW ALBUM! It never was, SLAYER! BIT LIKE METALLICA BUT FASTER AND WITH A BETTER DRUMMER PLUS SOME SATANISM! When SLAYER! is the slogan you definitely want to play in Slayer or be like them, if
