Universal Music Catalogue are re-pressing and re-issuing a series of classic 12" singles from Def Jam, the most groundbreaking and inspired hip hop and urban music label of a generation. Drawing on its hugely impressive catalogue created in the 21 years since its humble beginnings in a student dorm room, this series of re-issues collects top 10 hits from Ja Rule, Sisqo and Method Man along with forgotten gems from Memphis Bleek, DMX and Slick Rick as well as tracks that defined the label from Beastie Boys and Public Enemy. Through careful research and consultation, Universal Music Catalogue have picked out 21 of the finest Def Jam cuts and are re-issuing them with original b-sides in the iconic Def Jam house bag. Many have long been unavailable on vinyl and will be welcomed back with open tone-arms.
