CD pressing of the reissue of this Post-Punk classic. The song deals largely with problems in Curtis’s marriage to wife Deborah, but also reflected his general psychological unraveling at that time. 'Love Will Tear Us Apart' is one of the few Rock songs in which the lyrics genuinely stand up as poetry, the deeply personal and private revelations contrasting with a coldly robotic and metallic musical background that owes much to the vision of producer Martin Hannett, who helped create such a huge, echoing background.
